We're UP

We have good functionality, but we're still fixing problems and there may yet be vulnerabilities that we have to patch or files that we need to fix.

Thank you Dave and the staff!

Getting Closer

We're still trying to upload new files to replace the corrupted ones.

We're still trying to figure out the proper files.

Sorry for the delay.

Still Wonky

I don't know how much damage was done, but we're fixing damaged files now. Functionality should be spotty for a bit. You can read some stuff, but posting isn't working everywhere and not all areas are accessible.

Market Discussion

I have know idea when it'll be safe to open the server back up, so in the mean time, I thought I'd share this:

The Amateurs are way Beared up. About 2:1 Bears to Bulls.

The problem is, there are some speculators who are bulled-up.

What this means is that we have the minimum criteria for a nice rally once we turn, but we also lack the necessary ingredients to probe aggressively for a low.

Any thoughts?

Serious Attack on Our Server

We have been dealing with a hack of our mail server over the past couple days.

When we got into the issue, another major attack was launched on our servers. We are attempting to recover, but there may have been some data loss. Our tech support and host are working on this and we'll provide updates as we get them.

All the speed issues we've been suffering recently have been a result of this hack or the attempt at such.

If it breaks the small channel on Monday, I am also going to conclude that the retracement is over. I am thinking down on Monday a bit and one more high on Tuesday and then down eventually...

Market Thoughts

I'm looking for "C" down next week and then a launch higher. That's my FF.

Feel free to comment. It's not TT but it's a Fearless Forecaster Fix anyway.

Sentiment

The Server is still down, so I thought I'd make room for a little discussion here.

Our board sentiment was pretty Bearish but TheStreet.com has 56% Bulls, which could be a problem.

Explosion!

From Our Host in Houston:

This evening at 4:55pm CDT in our H1 data center, electrical gear shorted, creating an explosion and fire that knocked down three walls surrounding our electrical equipment room. Thankfully, no one was injured. In addition, no customer servers were damaged or lost.

We have just been allowed into the building to physically inspect the damage. Early indications are that the short was in a high-volume wire conduit. We were not allowed to activate our backup generator plan based on instructions from the fire department.

This is a significant outage, impacting approximately 9,000 servers and 7,500 customers. All members of our support team are in, and all vendors who supply us with data center equipment are on site. Our initial assessment, although early, points to being able to have some service restored by mid-afternoon on Sunday. Rest assured we are working around the clock.

We are in the process of communicating with all affected customers. we are planning to post updates every hour via our forum and in our customer portal. Our interactive voice response system is updating customers as well.

There is no impact in any of our other five data centers.

OK, then!

I don't think we can be very angry at them.

Frankly, I'm just very glad that no one was hurt and that we'll be back up and whole soon.

We'll advise as we learn more. If you need us, try myoung at equityguardiangroup dot com

Major Server Problems

We've been on vacation and, as such, it was guaranteed that we'd have a major server problem.

We are. It's not just the site it's our business site and it appears that other unrelated sites are down.

I had thought that it was just maintenance last night, but it was clearly something bigger.

We're up and on it now. We'll advise.

Sorry for the inconvenience!
